CoS Dashboard

CoS Dashboard

The Support Coordination dashboard has been redesigned using Careview’s Business intelligence Reporting platform Powered by Microsoft’s Power Bi.

The dashboard now provides a quick and efficient way to gain valuable insights into billable and non-billable time spent with participants (Capacity Planning) and track the budgets of supports delivered, eliminating the need for constant report generation, in addition to the existing dashboard Metrics which have been retained.

The Dashboard has two distinct views.
  1. COS Admin & COS Regional Manager view

  1. COS User View

Lets explore the following additional functions available and there features.

Info
The additional functions available in the More Options feature, is a standard Power BI menu, some of the functions will only apply to either a Powerview Report or visual such as a Dashboard.

Drill Through

This feature is used to drill down or up to explore data in more detail.  This involves navigating through hierarchical data by selecting different levels of granularity.  Use the drill icons (single downward and up arrow for one level, double arrow for all levels).

To access the drill through options, simply hover over the visual.

Methods for Drilling Down:

Using Drill Icons:

Enable Drill Mode: Locate the drill-down icon (a single downward arrow) on the visual and select it. The icon will change to a darker colour when drill mode is active.

Drill Down: Click on a data point within the visual. This will reveal the next level of detail in the hierarchy. For example, if you're viewing sales by region, you can drill down to view sales by state within a specific region.

Drill Up: To move back up to a higher level of detail, use the drill-up icon (an upward arrow).
Drill Down All Levels: If you have multiple levels in your hierarchy, you can use the double downward arrow to expand all levels at once.

Export Data

This feature will allow you to download the data from the visual or data table as a CSV file, which you can then open in Excel or another application.

Open a report or dashboard and simply hover over the data table or visual you want to export, then click the ellipsis (...) icon that appears in the upper right corner, and select "Export data" from the menu that appears; this will allow you to download the underlying data of the visual as a CSV file.

Show as a Table

This feature is used to show the data used create a visualisation for example a Dashboard.

Open a report and select a visual. To show the data underlying the visual, select More options (...) and choose Show as a table. By default, the data appears below the visual.

Spotlight

This feature allows you to highlight a specific visual on a Dashboard, which causes all other visuals on the page to fade to near transparency.

Simply open a report or dashboard, select the visual you want to highlight, click the "More options" (three dots) dropdown menu, and then choose "Spotlight"; this will make the selected visual stand out by dimming all other visuals on the page.
