When a participant moves to a PACE plan, their old Service
Booking structure is no longer compatible. Best practice is to create a new Service Contract for the participants plan. Super important that you need to tick the PACE box in the participant profile BEFORE you create the new Service Contract.
(NOTE - if a participant is on a PACE plan and you haven't updated their service contract, you won't be able to enter Funding Components)
⚠️ Why can’t I reuse my old Service Contract?
PACE uses different funding components and support
categories, so you can’t simply tick the “PACE Plan” checkbox on an existing
contract.
✅ Best Practice:
Create a new Service Contract linked to the participant’s
PACE plan.
This ensures correct budgets, support category mapping, and
NDIA claim validation.
💡 Tip:
Keep the old contract active only until all previous
invoices are processed, then mark it Inactive to avoid errors
