Edit a Note Contact Type

Edit a Note Contact Type

Use the following steps to edit a Note Contact Type, so as to update its 'Description', 'Claim Type', 'Suffix' or 'Status'.

1.      From the Top Right Navigation Bar, click on the Settings icon.

2.      Under Support Coordination, click on Note Contact Types.

3.      The Note Contact Type screen displays. Click on a detail for the Note Contact Type you wish to edit.

4.      The Edit Note Contact Type screen displays. Make any required changes to the value in each field. (Note- Where applicable, select the Suffix that matches the Claim Type. Leave Suffix blank i.e- 'No suffix' for standard or direct-service contact types.)

4.      Click Save.

Notes
From 1 July 2026, some NDIS support item numbers include suffixes to show how the service was delivered or claimed. This includes suffixes for Non-Face-to-Face, Telehealth, Provider Travel, NDIA Requested Reports, and Cancellation.
The Suffix field should only be used for Note Contact Types that relate to these applicable NDIS suffix claim types. Standard or direct-service Note Contact Types should continue to have the Suffix field left blank.

Warning
Important
If your organisation needs to use NDIS suffix item numbers, create or update the Note Contact Types for those claim types.
Do not create separate Service Supports for each suffix item. Continue using the base Service Support item on the Service Contract.
For example, you may have a separate Note Contact Type for Non-Face-to-Face with the _NF suffix, but the Service Contract should still use the base support item without the suffix.
