If your plan manager has given you access to Careview Advantage, you can view your NDIS funding at any time, and you may also have the ability to approve or decline invoices before they are claimed from your NDIS plan. When your plan manager sets this up for you, you receive an email with the subject of Welcome to Careview Advantage. This email includes your username and a temporary password to use when logging into Careview Advantage on your phone. If you have an Apple iPhone, you can download the Careview Advantage app from the App Store. Just click on the App Store icon on your phone, then click the Search button and type in Careview Advantage. On the results screen, click on the Get button and follow the prompts to download the app. The process is similar from an Android phone also. Just go to the Google Play Store, search for Careview Advantage and select it from the results. Then follow the prompts to download. You may be asked to give you permission for the app to manage phone calls.
This is required, so we can send you notifications when your invoices are ready to be approved. After downloading, click on the Careview Advantage icon to open it. You'll be asked to enter your NDIS number and the temporary password from your welcome email. Enter these details carefully and if needed you can use the eyeball symbol to check the password has been typed in correctly. When ready, click the Set PIN button and choose a PIN to log in with moving forwards. Make sure this is a PIN that only you know and is something hard for someone else to guess.
Enter your PIN in the confirmation box below and click Save. You'll then be taken into Careview Advantage. You may be asked to allow notifications at this stage.
If you click Allow, you'll be notified when invoices are ready for your approval. The Funding tab shows you the total funding for your plan managed services, a breakdown of what's been claimed so far and how much you have remaining. The Plan Budget tab lists the different categories you've received funding for on your NDIS plan, including how much has been delivered and the value remaining. The Services tab shows you the details for any stated supports from your NDIS plan, the funds claim so far and how much is left. The Summary tab shows you the details of the invoices that have been previously claimed from your NDIS plan, grouped on a monthly basis. If you have been set up to approve or decline your invoices for claiming, then each time your plan manager enters an invoice from one of your service providers, you'll be sent a notification on your phone.
If you click on the notification, you'll be taken to Careview Advantage. Once you've logged in, go to the Invoices section showing at the bottom of the screen. On the Pending Invoices tab, you can see the current invoices waiting for your approval. Click on the invoice and then use the View button to see the actual invoice from the service provider. Use your fingers to zoom in and take a closer look at the invoice by double tapping or putting two fingers on the screen and then separating them. Once you've finished looking at the invoice, tap on the screen and click the Close button in the top left corner. If you're happy with the invoice, you can approve it by clicking on the Approve button.
You'll then be asked to confirm your approval and once you click the green Confirm button, the invoice will be updated in your plan manager system so it can be claimed. If there is a problem with your invoice and you would like to decline it, click the red Decline button. Depending on your phone, you may be able to record the reason for declining the invoice by talking into your phone. Alternatively, you can type the reason you are declining the invoice in the Decline field. When ready, click the green Confirm button to decline the invoice. Any message you type in when declining the invoice will be added to the invoice to your plan manager to see. And depending on how things have been set up, it may also be sent to the service provider to let them know why the invoice hasn't been approved for claiming. When you've finished in Careview Advantage, you can click the menu icon in the top right corner and select Logout to be taken back to the login screen.
