Preview and Download Attachment files in Case Notes


In the Careview Web Application, you can preview attachments like PDFs, PNGs, and JPGs directly within the app. Follow these simple steps to preview or download files attached to case notes.

Step-by-Step Guide

Open the Case Note:

  1. In the Case Note Table, find the case note you want to view.
  2. Click the expand button next to the case note to open its details, including any attachments.

* Only PDF, PNG, JPG files can be previewed.
  1. If the file is not in supported formats of PDF, PNG, or JPG (e.g., an MSG or DOCX file), clicking on the file name will automatically download to the user's device.
  1. If the file is a PDF, PNG, or JPG, clicking on the file name will open a popup window allowing user to preview the files without downloading.
Notes
Empty cache and hard refresh on browser to ensure that the preview window is rendered correctly.

Preview a PDF, PNG, or JPG File:

  1. Left panel: Shows a preview of the file. User can zoom in, zoom out, or navigate through the pages (for PDFs).
  2. Right panel: Displays case note details such as client name, service provider, support item, billing type, and case note status.

  1. While in Preview mode:
    1. Supported files (PDF, PNG, JPG) appear as clickable hyperlinks and can be previewed in the right panel.
    2. Unsupported files (like MSG, DOCX) are displayed as plain text and cannot be previewed.
    3. Users can download both supported and unsupported files by clicking on the Download icon next to the file's name. 



  2. Once you have finished reviewing the file, click the [Close] button or the [X] icon in the top right corner of the preview window to close it and return to the case note table.
