Powerview Overview


What is Powerview?


Powerview is Careview’s Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting system.

Powerview is offered as a reporting and data visualisation tool integrated with Careview’s CRM.

The standard reports that have been developed in the Powerview BI reporting system and will be rolled out iteratively, now offer the following features.
  1. New Report Filters, i.e., the ability to choose to view All Client data across all Reports.
  2. Additional Report Fields based on the customer feedback provided.
  3. Sorting by Ascending and Descending Order on all Report Columns, across all Reports.
  4. New Centralised Reporting Menu. 
  5. Option to Export a Summary or Full Export of all Data from the report into a csv file.

Powerview Reports 

The Powerview Reports reside under the following Report Categories.
  1. Participant Reports - All client specific reports i.e. Client Profile Report
  2. Financial Reports - All financial specific reports i.e. Delivered Services Report

Access a Powerview Report

Info
Please contact your System Administrator to gain access to a Powerview Report. Refer to Powerview Access Management.

Follow these simple steps to access any Powerview Report. 
 
1 From the Main Menu, select Powerview, then click to select the Financial or Participant Reports sub menu.


 
2 The Powerview Financial or Participant Report screen displays. 


3 Click on the View Report button on the Report Tile to load the desired Report i.e. Delivered Services Report.

 



Idea
To clear your selection, hover over the filter and simply click on the eraser icon.  To Clear All filter selections, click on the Clear All filters button at the top right of the Report.


4 Click to select your desired Report Field filter/s.

Click to expand the filter and perform a search.





5 Set your desired Date filter/s using the calendar picker or slider.  i.e. Delivered Date




6 The Report Data Table loads based on the filters applied. 



More Options Feature

To access the "More Options" feature in the Powerview Reports, hover over the Data Table, then click the three dots (...) icon which will reveal a dropdown menu containing additional actions.






Export Data

This feature will allow you to download the data from the visual or data table as a CSV file, which you can then open in Excel or another application.

Open a report and simply hover over the data table or visual you want to export, then click the ellipsis (...) icon that appears in the upper right corner, and select "Export data" from the menu that appears; this will allow you to download the underlying data of the visual as a CSV file.


Show as a Table

This feature is used to show the data used create a visualisation.

Open a report and select a visual. To show the data underlying the visual, select More options (...) and choose Show as a table. By default, the data appears below the visual.

Spotlight

This feature allows you to highlight a specific visual on a Dashboard, which causes all other visuals on the page to fade to near transparency.

Simply open a report, select the visual you want to highlight, click the "More options" (three dots) dropdown menu, and then choose "Spotlight"; this will make the selected visual stand out by dimming all other visuals on the page.

Get Insights

This feature is not active in the Powerview Reports or Dashboards.


Sort Ascending or Sort Descending 

This feature is used to sort the data as you desire in the Data Table, allowing you to choose the column to sort by and the direction (ascending or descending) in the Powerview Report.

Open the report and hover over the data table and click on the "More options" (three dots) icon, and then navigate to "Sort ascending" or "Sort descending" depending on your desired order; this allows you to choose which column to sort by and the direction of the sort within the visual itself.

Sort By

This feature allows you to select the column in the data table you want to use for sorting, from there, you can further choose to sort ascending or descending depending on your need.

Open the report and hover over the data table and click on the "More options" (three dots) icon, then navigate to the "Sort by" option to choose the column you want to use for sorting; you can also choose to sort ascending or descending from there depending on your need.

Contextual Menu Report Feature



Copy Values


To use the contextual menu to copy a value, simply right-click on the cell or data point you want to copy in the Data Table of the Powerview Report, then select "Copy Value" from the menu, this will copy only the data value itself to your clipboard, ready to be pasted elsewhere.

Copy Selection

To use the contextual menu for copy selection, right-click on the data point or area you want to copy within a visual or data table, then select "Copy" from the context menu; you can also use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + C" to copy the selected area.

Show as a Table

This feature is used to show the data used create a visualisation.

Open a report and select a visual. To show the data underlying the visual, select More options (...) and choose Show as a table. By default, the data appears below the visual.

Exclude

To use the contextual menu to exclude data points on a visual, simply right-click on the specific data point or points you want to exclude within a visual, then select "Exclude" from the context menu; this will effectively filter out the selected data points from the visualisation.

Include

To use the contextual menu to exclude data points on a visual, simply right-click on the specific data point or points you want to exclude within a visual, then select "Exclude" from the context menu; this allows you to selectively add specific data points to the currently displayed visual while filtering out others based on your selection.
