Creating a client in Careview




To create a new client in Careview, go to the 'CRM' section on the menu on the left side of your screen, click on 'Clients', then click the 'Create New' button in the top left corner. You'll notice some fields have red stars next to them. These are the mandatory fields that need to be filled in to successfully create your client.

In addition to the name, gender and date of birth fields, you'll need to enter the client's address details which are located at the bottom of the page. If you don't have all these details yet, you can enter placeholder details for now and update these fields once the client has been created.

There are a few fields here that are good to set up as soon as you have the details available. An example is the NDIS number which will be used for any client you generate out of Careview. Careview will also check that you don't already have a client using this NDIS number, when you click the 'Save' button. This prevents any duplicate clients being created.

The service region you select determines the price guide and rates that will be available to use for your client's activities when you're entering their invoices or case notes.

Use the Service Type field to tell Careview what sort of client you're creating. If you're providing plan management services for the client, select Plan Management Client. If you're providing support coordination services, select Support Coordination Client. If you're providing both plan management and support coordination services, hold down the Control key to select more than one option.

For plan managed clients, enter the rate for the monthly plan management fees in the Plan Management Current Rate field. This field is used by the monthly plan management invoice creation process. You can use the Additional Emails field to record other email addresses that you may need to send out monthly statements to for this client. And you can enter multiple email addresses in here by separating them with a semicolon.

You can set the status of the client and the status field. If you're ready to work with the client, you can leave it set to Active or set it to Pending if you're waiting for more information. You can then work your way down the screen, filling in the other details you want to record in Careview, then click the Save button. The new client will appear in your client list.

If you need to update any details after creating your client, click on the name to open their client profile and use the Edit button in the top left corner to update the required fields.
